Prime Time For Autism Intervention

According to the survey conducted by the Census and Statistics Department, prevalence rate among local population under the age of 15 with ASD is estimated at around 1.4%.

Children with autism may be officially diagnosed as early as 18 months of age. If parents find their children show language, social or cognitive challenges, it is recommended to seek professional help and advice as soon as possible. 

Preliminary Screening and Assessment

This is a one-hour meeting which involves discussing parents’ concerns. It gathers comprehensive information, identifies issues, and provides parental guidance. Ideal for parents who only want to seek professional advice but not yet ready for a diagnosis.

Our clinical assessments are conducted by our Clinical Psychologist and offer a comprehensive and in-depth evaluation of your child’s strengths and weaknesses.  

Using a multidimensional approach involving input from parents, teachers, and gold standard diagnostic assessments, our assessments and treatment recommendations are invaluable in identifying your child’s challenges informing families on the next steps in meeting your child’s developmental and educational needs.

Melody has over 10 years of clinical experience in diagnostic assessment and intervention of various neurodevelopmental and emotional disorders. As a Clinical Psychologist, Melody has been working with government-funded services, NGOs, private clinics and schools. She is an expert in offering practical recommendations for families and schools to best support a child’s development based on the child’s unique context and best practices in the field. Melody currently provides psychological assessment and clinical supervision services at autismilee.

Winkie is an experienced Educational Psychologist with over a decade of expertise in working with
children across various age groups, ranging from kindergarten to secondary school. She is a former specialist at the Education Bureau. Throughout her extensive career, she has worked closely with Cantonese-, English- and Mandarin- speaking families, gaining valuable experience in addressing
a wide range of challenges in children and adolescents. Winkie currently provides psychological assessment, counselling services and play therapy at autismilee.
